Six Flags in located in Gurnee, IL and is about a 25 min drive from Illinois Beach Hotel where the wedding is located

Downtown Chicago is about 1hr and 10 min drive from the venue site. We recommend doing an architecture tour on the river, grabbing a slice of pizza at pequods, and the field museum (our first picture together was taken here). Nearby the field museum is also the shedd aquarium and the planetarium.

There are many nature preserves in the Chicagoland area. In fact, there are a couple right near our venue- Illinois Beach Nature Preserve and North Dunes Nature Preserve. But there are many to chose from if you want to explore farther out!

The venue is near the border of Wisconsin. One thing you can check out is the Mars Cheese Castle in Wisconsin and buy some Wisconsin beer and cheese.

The wedding venue is right on the beach of Lake Michigan so bring a swimsuit and go for a swim or catch some sun rays on the beach!
